Cadence Announces Expanded Partnership with Intel Foundry to Accelerate Intel 14A Process Optimization for HPC and Mobile Designs

Cadence (Headquarters: San Jose, California, USA; Nasdaq: CDNS) announced on June 8 (US time) an expanded partnership with Intel Foundry (hereinafter Intel) to advance Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) targeting Intel's next-generation process technologies, starting with Intel 14A. This new multi-year agreement combines Cadence's agentic AI-driven EDA and Design IP solutions with Intel's process innovation and advanced design technologies.

The DTCO collaboration focuses on optimizing tools, design flows, and methodologies with the goal of achieving industry-leading performance, power, and area (PPA). Cadence and Intel will work closely on the optimization of the Intel 14A process to deliver a production-ready Process Design Kit (PDK). Furthermore, this collaboration leverages Cadence's agentic AI flows and core products to reduce lead times to commercialization and mitigate design risks.
