Tetra Pak Japan, a leading supplier of food processing and packaging solutions, announced that it will begin a pilot program to collect aluminum-laminated paper cartons at the Aeon Haebaru store in Okinawa, effective June 1, 2026. Prior to this, a display of collection boxes was held from May 29 to 31. Aluminum-laminated cartons, commonly used for soy milk and vegetable juice, are recyclable; however, they are frequently disposed of as burnable waste due to limited collection points. Through this pilot, consumers can drop off used cartons while shopping, facilitating participation in resource circulation. Tetra Pak Japan remains committed to promoting resource circulation by creating more collection opportunities.
