Production Process Finished by Artist Members

In this project, Ms. KADA, who created the original artwork, and PICFA members carried out the production at a silk screen studio.

- Selecting each ink color one by one - Hand-printing using screens - The artwork includes subtle misalignments and variations in density

- Product names inspired by food and the emotions conveyed by the HELLO colors, named from the artists' perspectives

Furthermore, the members themselves handled the visual expression, including shooting the production process. By consistently managing everything from production to creative work, we aimed to deliver the background and atmosphere of the artwork as is.

The Value of Each Piece Being One-of-a-Kind

As each T-shirt is hand-printed, no two will have the exact same finish. This product can be enjoyed as a piece of art, where overlapping colors, bleeding, and slight misalignments are all part of its unique character.

Wear it and carry the artwork with you. We propose a new experience of spending time with art in daily life.

What PICFA Aims For

PICFA has been working at the intersection of welfare and art, with the theme of "Connecting people through art."

Our goal is to create a system where people can interact more naturally with society not just by "decorating" with art, but by "using" and "wearing" it through products.

This anniversary T-shirt is also a product born from such aspirations.

PICFA 〈Picfa〉 "Connecting people through art." Established in July 2017 within the Kiyama Kage Clinic, a medical corporation that has existed for 400 years, PICFA is Japan's first Type B employment support facility for people with disabilities located within a medical institution. PICFA is a coined word from PICTURE + WELFARE. It focuses on creative activities centered around "art" and collaborates with many companies. In 2017, it produced cosmetic packaging in collaboration with NITTO ELECHEMIC CO., LTD. It is active in a wide range of fields to expand creative activities not only into "art" but also into "life." For Type B facilities, the money paid to individuals who engage in production activities through employment support is not called "salary" but "kōchin" (a system where earnings from work at the facility are distributed among everyone).

It is a place where each individual's uniqueness is discovered, allowing all users to shine. Users' paintings are utilized in original products, live painting, and collaborations with companies.

NITTO ELECHEMIC CO.,LTD

A manufacturing company established in 1959. It operates in the metal surface treatment business and healthcare business, and founded the skincare lifestyle brand "OSAJI" in 2017. Even after spinning off the OSAJI business in October 2023, it leverages its accumulated manufacturing expertise to plan, develop, manufacture, and sell the aluminum tableware brand "HEGE."

In recent years, it has also focused on value creation businesses for the next generation, developing a supportive consulting business based on its practical experience, and promoting the creation of new value originating from manufacturing through initiatives in cultural creation, such as collaborations with art and music.
