Nissan Chemical Corporation has decided to construct new manufacturing facilities for the active ingredient of its new rice herbicide, 'Ryzonik®' (generic name: ipfentrifluconazole/pyriphen), at its consolidated subsidiary in India, Nissan Bharat Rasayan Pvt. Ltd. (NBR). NBR was established in 2020 as a joint venture with Bharat Rasayan Ltd., a major Indian pesticide manufacturer and distributor. This investment is aimed at building a stable supply system to meet future demand for the new herbicide 'Ryzonik®' developed by Nissan Chemical, and is positioned as a key strategic investment to drive future business growth. The new facilities are scheduled to be completed and begin operations in fiscal 2028. 'Ryzonik®' is scheduled to be launched in major markets, including Japan and India, starting in 2027, with plans for further global expansion. Through this project, Nissan Chemical aims to strengthen its global supply capacity for pesticide active ingredients and improve its competitiveness in the rice herbicide sector.
