Okayama's New Tourist Spot for "Insta-Worthy" Photos: Yunogo Onsen's "Yunohana Garden"

Yunogo Onsen saw a drastic decrease in tourists due to the pandemic. "Yunohana Garden" was born from the desire to revitalize Yunogo Onsen and to encourage many visitors to discover the charms of Mimasaka City and come visit.

"Yunohana Garden," adjacent to Farm Cafe Yunogo, opened on May 14, 2022. It is a spot where you can enjoy sweets ordered at the cafe in a garden filled with blooming flowers and a lush green lawn. You can relax and enjoy nature in the spacious garden.

An artwork by artist Ellie Omiya, who exhibited at the Setouchi Triennale, will be unveiled in September 2024. You can also enjoy art appreciation.

We will continue to develop sweets using seasonal fruits in line with the seasons and events.

About Farm Cafe Yunogo

"Farm Cafe Yunogo" was established in July 2017 in the heart of Yunogo Onsen, renowned for its "hot springs for beautiful skin." It is directly managed by Mimasaka Farm, Okayama Prefecture's largest tourist farm for grapes and strawberries. Mimasaka Farm aims to revitalize its local Yunogo Onsen by serving visitors directly with fruits they grow themselves.

In addition to strawberries and grapes, we offer limited-time sweets made with seasonal fruits, enjoyed by many tourists and locals. "Okayama Pudding," a popular souvenir from Okayama Prefecture, is also available at Farm Cafe Yunogo.

About Mimasaka Farm

Mimasaka Farm, Okayama Prefecture's largest strawberry farm and grape orchard, is located on the north-south border of Okayama Prefecture in Mimasaka City, an ideal location for fruit cultivation with warm sunshine during the day and crisp cool air in the mornings and evenings. We hold strawberry picking from December to May and grape picking from August to October, attracting many visitors each year.

Fruits grown in this region ripen slowly due to the cold, resulting in large, flavorful fruits with concentrated nutrients like Vitamin C. Mimasaka Farm also prioritizes food safety, cultivating fruits using microorganisms and natural enemy insects while minimizing the use of chemical pesticides.

In February 2024, we received a silver award at the "National Strawberry Championship." Our deliciousness was recognized by professional vegetable sommeliers, earning us a top 10 national ranking.
