Founded in 1841, Yoshikawaya, a traditional inn in Anahora Onsen, Fukushima Prefecture, is now offering a popular accommodation plan featuring a new "Momo Kaiseki" dinner that allows guests to fully enjoy Fukushima, with a focus on local peaches. The plan is available from July 15 (Wed), 2026, to August 31 (Mon).

This Year's New "Momo Kaiseki"

This is the fourth year for the "Momo Kaiseki," which has been revised and renewed annually.

For the main dish, we offer a special beef stew made with a demi-glace sauce using local peach paste, allowing you to savor Fukushima beef thigh. The sauce, alive with the sweetness and acidity of peaches, further enhances the umami of the beef.

And the highlight this year is the dessert: "Marutto Momo" (Whole Peach), made with a whole peach.

It looks like a whole peach sitting on a plate...

But inside, it's a peach cheesecake!

To allow you to fully enjoy this dessert, the portions of the other dishes have been slightly reduced compared to previous years.

Additionally, we are featuring "Joban-mono" fish caught in the tidal front off the coast of Fukushima, where the Oyashio and Kuroshio currents meet. Following last year, we are again using "momo" (peach) and "momo" (thigh meat) as ingredients, including Fukushima beef thigh and Date chicken thigh.

This is a special kaiseki that allows you to enjoy not only peaches but also the delicious flavors of Fukushima.

Furthermore, as a special offer this year, we are gifting one bag of "Candied Young Peaches" per room.

This dessert has a crispy texture and can be eaten deliciously down to the pit.

Candied Young Peaches

Within two weeks of reservations opening, we have already received nearly the same number of bookings as last year's Momo Kaiseki plan, and the number of repeat customers who look forward to the Momo Kaiseki every year is increasing.

We are also participating in this year's "Fukushima Peach Holiday 2026" in Fukushima City.

Experience a special kaiseki meal that can only be enjoyed at Yoshikawaya during the summer.

More details about the Momo Kaiseki are also available on Yoshikawaya's official Instagram, so please take a look. [Introduction Video Here]

As an inn located in a renowned peach-producing region, we propose a variety of peach-focused initiatives to our guests.

Yoshikawaya has continuously implemented a series of initiatives focused on "peaches," a renowned specialty of the northern Fukushima region (including Fukushima City).

1. Establishment of a "Momo Shrine" within the inn, with "Nademomo" (a peach to be petted) as the deity, and "Momo Mikuji" (peach fortune slips) that can be drawn there. *The paper used has a peach scent when rubbed.

2. Complimentary peach juice served at the fruit juice stand (faucet dispensing juice) in the lobby lounge.

3. A photo spot called "Bell of Happiness," designed by floral designer Shunsuke Sato, inspired by peaches and goddesses.

And more.

The Momo Kaiseki is one of these initiatives.

We aim to convey the charm of the northern Fukushima region, rich in various fruits, and to establish Yoshikawaya as the inn where one can fully enjoy "hot springs and fruits." Yoshikawaya will continue to take a unique approach, different from other inns and shops.
