Tohoku Electric Power Launches New Educational Content 'Let's Explore the Secrets of Electricity!' on Kids' App 'Gokko Land'

Tohoku Electric Power begins distribution today of a new content titled 'Let's Explore the Secrets of Electricity!' on 'Gokko Land' (https://www.kidsstar.co.jp/gokkoland), a free social experience app for children provided by Kidsstar Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Kidsstar').

The content is being offered through 'Gokko Land' with the hope that children will experience, through their favorite games, how electricity is generated using various energy sources and supports our daily lives, sparking family discussions about electricity usage and the environment. This marks the first time an electric power company has distributed content on this app.

The new content features two games: 'Let's Generate Electricity' and 'Match & Generate Power Puzzle.' In both games, Tohoku Electric employees appear as navigators, explaining how electricity is generated around the clock to ensure safety, the characteristics of diverse power generation methods, and the importance of stable supply and 'energy mix' in an easy-to-understand format.

Going forward, Tohoku Electric will continue to provide learning opportunities on energy for children—the future of our communities—through initiatives such as energy outreach lectures and facility tours.
