【Synopsis】
A tokusatsu super robot action series based on the original work by Mitsuteru Yokoyama, broadcast from October 1967 to April 1968! Toei's masterpiece "Giant Robo" was the world's first tokusatsu giant robot hero work, not just in Japan.
This work, which became the precursor to the super robot anime boom in the 1970s, is the origin of Toei's giant robot tokusatsu depicted in series like the Super Sentai Series and the Space Sheriff Series. It was also exported overseas, gaining popularity and influencing various movies and comics. This masterpiece is finally available as a Blu-ray BOX with its first 4K negative scan HD remaster! It is revived with vivid colors and high image quality never seen before!!
【Story】
Emperor Guillotine, an invader from space, formed the secret society "BF Group." They secretly built the steel giant "Giant Robo." However, the boy Daisaku Kusama, who hated evil, transformed Giant Robo into a giant of justice, and it became a super robot to protect humanity along with the Unicorn Agency.
Invincible Giant Robo, capable in air, land, and sea, challenges various powerful enemies such as the giant sea beast Dakola, the giant ball Glover, the space plant Satan Rose, and Giant Robo 2 (GR2) under the command of young Master Kusama.
