A consortium led by Regional Revitalization Solution Inc., along with several regional companies, has commenced construction on the tentative "Obihiro Station South Exit Hotel Redevelopment Project" on April 28, 2026. Handled by TEPCO Real Estate, this project will create a new luxury hotel serving as the core of a larger redevelopment featuring condominiums and commercial facilities. The hotel's concept is "From Tradition to Innovation," incorporating local materials and offering Tokachi's unique moor hot springs and authentic sauna facilities to cater to the growing wellness tourism demand.
