CS broadcaster "Satellite Theater" will premiere the stage play "Private Detective Hamamike -The Trap-" on July 26 (Sun) at 7:00 PM.

This is the third stage adaptation of the popular "Private Detective Hamamike" film series, originally created by Ryoichi Kimura and starring Masatoshi Nagase. As with the first and second installments, Ryuji Sato, known for his roles in the musical "Touken Ranbu" series (as Kiyomitsu Kashu) and the stage play "Jujutsu Kaisen" series (as Yuji Itadori), will portray the master detective Hamamike. Following the main performance, a special after-talk session, exclusively available on Satellite Theater, will be broadcast featuring scriptwriter and director Daisuke Nishida, the cast, and special guests: original creator Director Ryoichi Kimura and actor Shirou Sano, who appeared in the film version. Please enjoy it along with the stage play!

Furthermore, under the title "Ryuji Sato Special: Commemorating the Broadcast of the Stage Play 'Private Detective Hamamike'," the second stage adaptation, "Private Detective Hamamike -Stairs of a Distant Era-", a live performance by Ryuji Sato's band project "The Brow Beat", and a documentary on "ZIPANG OPERA", a musical performance unit by Ryuji Sato and two others, will also be broadcast. The film series "Private Detective Hamamike", originally created by Ryoichi Kimura and starring Masatoshi Nagase, was popular. A reading play was performed in 2021, the first stage adaptation in 2022, and the second stage adaptation in 2025. In 2026, marking the 30th anniversary of the final film's release, the third stage adaptation, "Private Detective Hamamike -The Trap-", was performed. This time, we will deliver the recording of this commemorative third stage adaptation, along with an exclusive after-talk session on Satellite Theater featuring cast members Daisuke Nishida (scriptwriter and director), Ryuji Sato, Ken Osawa, and Takeshi Nadagi, as well as special guests: original creator Director Ryoichi Kimura and actor Shirou Sano, who appeared in the film version.

【Synopsis】

Detective Hamamike has a girlfriend named Yuriko, but one day, she is attacked by a man in a black mask. The perpetrator turns out to be the same person responsible for a series of poison murders targeting young people in the neighborhood. While pursuing the culprit, Mike finds himself caught in an elaborate trap when his fingerprints are detected on one of the victims. Now a suspect, Mike is on the run from the police and must pursue the real killer to prove his innocence.
