Taneya Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Omihachiman, Shiga; President: Masahito Yamamoto), a manufacturer and retailer of Japanese confectionery, will launch its new product 'Awase Mikan' on June 15, 2026. This jelly, made with the juice of three types of mandarin oranges, offers a fresh, bouncy texture and is packed with Natsumikan pulp, known as 'sanou.' Please enjoy the refreshing, sweet-and-sour taste of this fruit.

The new jelly is a masterpiece that balances three distinct types of citrus to enhance each other's flavors. It features the refreshing acidity and moderate bitterness of 'Natsumikan,' the crisp acidity and bitterness of 'Hyuganatsu,' and the rich sweetness of 'Setoka.' While each is appealing on its own, blending them creates depth, resulting in a balanced jelly with a lingering, enjoyable finish.

Furthermore, the jelly is filled with plenty of Natsumikan pulp. You can truly feel the contrast between the smooth jelly and the bursting fruit pulp. The amount of pulp was a key focus during development; it took about two years to reach the ideal texture and balance, driven by the desire to include as much as possible. We have made repeated efforts to ensure both the fruit texture and the melt-in-the-mouth quality.

This summer, Taneya has also launched new products using 'Tsuchiyama Matcha' from Koka City, Shiga Prefecture: 'Hon-Nama Yokan Matcha' and 'Taneya Kanten Matcha,' which have been well-received. Grown in the climate near the Suzuka Mountains with significant temperature differences, Tsuchiyama Matcha is characterized by its refreshing bitterness and rich aroma. By combining it with our summer staples, 'Hon-Nama Yokan' and 'Taneya Kanten,' for the first time, we allow customers to enjoy the authentic aroma and umami of matcha by adding the separately packaged matcha just before eating.
