Okinawa Kohama Island 'Haimurubushi' Launches Renewal 1st Anniversary Accommodation Plan

Located 400km south of Okinawa Main Island, in the center of the Yaeyama Islands on Kohama Island, this is Japan's southernmost island beach resort. Since its opening in 1979, guests have been able to fully enjoy marine activities and the beautiful nature of the Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park, which was recognized as Japan's first Dark Sky Park. 'Haimurubushi' means 'stars clustering in the south,' or the Southern Cross, in the dialect of the Yaeyama region.
