Hatena Partners with Link-U Technologies' New Business "Mangaful Base" for Manga Viewer "GigaViewer"

Hatena Inc. (CEO: Yoshimi Kurisu, Headquarters: Kyoto City) announced today, June 12, 2026, that it will begin collaborating with "Link-U Mangaful Base" (hereinafter "Mangaful Base"), the new business of Link-U Technologies Inc. (CEO: Takuya Ogushi, Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "Link-U"), within its manga viewer "GigaViewer."

"Mangaful Base" is centered around Link-U's expertise in platform development and operation, translation, and data analytics in the manga and entertainment domain. It leverages data analysis know-how cultivated from operating manga apps with over 20 million MAU domestically and internationally, along with a distribution infrastructure connecting to major platforms in various countries. Hatena will coordinate with publishers (18 companies, 28 services as of June 2026) using "GigaViewer" who wish to collaborate with "Mangaful Base," and will promote the integration of publisher-approved data from "GigaViewer" with "Mangaful Base."

Various analyses will be conducted using data from "GigaViewer" and "Mangaful Base." Based on these results, Hatena, Link-U, and the publishers operating manga services plan to utilize this collaboration not only for domestic service growth but also for verifying and designing strategies for overseas expansion.

We will leverage the insights gained from this collaboration to strengthen support for the overseas expansion of publishers providing "GigaViewer," and to consider the international expansion of "GigaViewer" as a manga distribution platform.
