Initiative to Promote Tourism and Regional Circulation in Higashiosaka City

Resona Bank (President: Kazuhiro Senda) of the Resona Group is launching a travel package titled 'Yorimichi Osaka: First Edition – Higashiosaka City' to promote tourism and regional circulation in Higashiosaka City, aiming to showcase the city's charm and stimulate local consumption. This initiative is being implemented in partnership with Higashiosaka City (Mayor: Yoshikazu Noda) and the Higashiosaka City Tourism Association (Chairperson: Kotomi Kitagawa), based on a comprehensive collaboration agreement signed with Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (President: Mitsuko Tottori) on March 25, 2026. The travel package is now available for sale through JALPAK Co., Ltd. (President: Takeshi Omura).

Attracting up to 200 visitors to boost local vitality

The program includes round-trip airfare and accommodation, plus a 2,500-yen digital coupon for each traveler, redeemable at 17 designated stores centered around the Fuse, Nagata, and Iwakiri Omotesando shopping districts. By encouraging travelers not only to visit tourist spots but also to experience local cuisine, culture, and community interactions, the initiative aims to promote intra-city tourism and expand regional spending.

Supporting digital coupon adoption to enhance regional circulation and economic activation

The initiative leverages 'Pokepay,' a digital money platform provided by Pocket Change Inc.※1, to support the implementation of digital coupons. These cashless, smartphone-based coupons improve traveler convenience and streamline payments at participating stores. Utilizing Resona Group’s network and digital solutions, the project contributes to enhancing intra-city circulation and revitalizing the local economy.
