IA Energy Corporation (Headquarters: Totsuka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; CEO: Ryutaro Furukawa; hereinafter "the Company"), which handles sales and installation of EV chargers, V2H (bidirectional charging systems), solar power generation, and home batteries, announces the addition of a new feature to the 'Easy Automatic Quotation' system for V2H on its operated website EV Eco Home (https://ev-ecohome.com). This new feature automatically calculates quotation amounts reflecting national subsidy amounts. Additionally, a dedicated page for those considering V2H adoption has been newly launched.

*The 'Easy Automatic Quotation' service for V2H and home batteries is limited to residential areas in Tokyo (excluding remote islands), Kanagawa, Saitama, and Chiba Prefectures.

Background of the Service

V2H (Vehicle to Home) is a bidirectional charging system that utilizes the large-capacity battery of EVs and PHEVs as a household power source, gaining attention both as an emergency power supply during blackouts and as a way to reduce daily electricity bills. However, the national V2H subsidy program changes annually, with separate upper limits for equipment and installation costs, leading to widespread feedback that it's difficult to understand "how much it actually costs to install."

For the 2026 fiscal year (Reiwa 8), the national V2H subsidy covers half of the equipment cost (up to ¥750,000) and the full amount of installation costs (up to ¥550,000). If all conditions are met and the maximum subsidy is received, up to approximately 63% of the total cost can be covered by subsidies.

Automatic Reflection of National Subsidy Amounts in 'Easy Automatic Quotation'

Example of a V2H preliminary estimate showing the net cost after subsidy application

With this new feature, users simply input required information into the 'Easy Automatic Quotation' form, and the estimated net cost after deducting the national subsidy amount will be automatically calculated in as little as five minutes.

*Only the national subsidy is reflected by this feature. Subsidies from prefectures, cities, towns, and villages will be provided separately based on your local municipality's information.

Launch of V2H Dedicated Page

A dedicated page for those considering V2H adoption has been newly launched. It consolidates essential information on one page, including basic benefits of V2H such as blackout preparedness and electricity cost savings, key points for subsidy-eligible installation, actual installation case studies, and frequently asked questions. The pathway to the 'Easy Automatic Quotation' is also centralized on this page, allowing users to check relevant items and proceed directly to a free quotation.

Our Vision Behind This Service

While subsidies significantly reduce the burden of V2H adoption, we have seen many cases where potential adopters delay their decision due to confusion over "how much they will actually save" or the perceived complexity of the application process. This new subsidy-reflection feature in the 'Easy Automatic Quotation' was developed with the intention of reducing such confusion and encouraging hesitant individuals to take their first step.

V2H transforms EVs from mere "transportation tools" into "emergency power sources." We aim to deliver this value to as many households as possible in the one-metropolis-three-prefecture region, both as a safeguard against power outages and as a means to reduce daily electricity expenses.
