Aiken Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture / Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Atsumi Nakajima), which handles apartment and condominium management, donated approximately 180 uniforms that were no longer worn after the introduction of a business casual policy in May 2025 through 'Furugi de Vaccine.' This is the second donation, and combined with the 2025 implementation, a total of 25 polio vaccines will be delivered to children in Laos. Through this activity, three social contributions are achieved simultaneously: packing and shipping at welfare workshops where people with disabilities work, job creation locally, and the protection of children's lives. On May 1, 2025, the company introduced a business casual policy. In addition to responding to the recent extreme heat, the aim is to create a work environment where employees can choose their attire according to temperature and physical condition, regardless of age, gender, or family environment. At the time of introduction, the company realized that about 180 uniforms would become unnecessary and designed a route to convert them into social value rather than discarding them. The donation recipient is 'Furugi de Vaccine,' operated by Japan Reuse System Co., Ltd. This service is a mechanism that, in tie-up with the certified NPO 'Japan Committee, Vaccines for the World's Children (JCV),' donates a certain number of polio vaccines to children in developing countries per kit of collected clothing. Through the mechanism of purchasing dedicated collection kits and sending unnecessary clothing, the following three social contributions are achieved simultaneously: 1. Employment of people with disabilities through orders to welfare workshops nationwide. 2. Provision of polio vaccines to children in Laos. 3. Job creation in developing countries. The company upholds the 'Aiken 3C Mind - Change, Challenge, Chance' and will continue internal reforms that respond to the diversification of work styles and values.
