AiTRIGGER Inc. announces the launch of a data preparation resource under its marketing AX implementation service 'AXer', designed to detect duplicate candidates and address inaccuracies in direct mail (DM) recipient data. The service will be available from July 2026 to companies engaged in promotional activities involving personal data, such as DM distribution. Following a successful pilot deployment in June 2026 to a correspondence education service provider (name withheld), the general release is now confirmed. The system employs anonymization design that avoids sharing names and house numbers with AI, embodying the practical implementation of 'Marketing AX'—transforming marketing operations involving personal data through AI.
Tens of Thousands of Recipient Lists and the Challenge of Non-Shareable Personal Data
Through collaboration with the pilot client—a correspondence education service provider (name withheld)—AiTRIGGER identified significant burdens in the pre-campaign phase of DM operations. Extracting potentially duplicate records and identifying address errors from prospect databases of thousands to tens of thousands of entries, spanning approximately 45 columns, previously required extensive manual effort.
Variations in name formatting—such as the presence or absence of full-width spaces—and differences in address notation (e.g., 'chome' vs. '-' separators)—are difficult to catch through manual Excel review. Moreover, since the data includes personal information such as names and addresses, companies cannot casually upload it to external cloud services. AiTRIGGER has redesigned the workflow to accommodate these constraints, and after verifying successful operation during the June pilot, has decided to proceed with general availability.
AI's Role is Limited to 'Suggesting Candidates'—Personal Data is Not Exposed
The core design principle is: 'AI is responsible only for suggesting candidates; final judgment remains with humans. Personal data itself is never exposed to AI.' Based on this philosophy, the resource brings three key changes to DM addressing workflows:
① Detection of duplicates and errors shifts from manual review to 'verifying detection results'
In addition to exact matching, the system uses fuzzy matching to calculate similarity scores from 0.00 to 1.00, grouping and presenting potential duplicates. Inconsistencies such as mismatched postal codes and prefectures, or blank address fields, are also flagged. The system displays decision logic (e.g., 'name match + postal code match + similar address') on-screen, enabling operators to focus on verification with full transparency.
② Leveraging AI's analytical power while protecting personal data
When utilizing external AI, names are replaced with symbols and house numbers are masked before transmission. Only structural address patterns are used for comparison (anonymization processing). AI does not perform record deletion or merging; changes are applied only after human operators set the status. Deployment environments can be selected—from on-premise to internal server setups—based on each company's security requirements.
③ Verified data flows directly into output and promotional use
From verified data, the system automatically generates targeted mailing lists (Excel), constructs promotional email HTML, and creates campaign performance reports—automating workflows previously reliant on manual file handoffs.
This resource is not offered as a standalone SaaS tool, but as part of AXer’s integrated resources (people, tools, and expertise), customized to each client’s operational flow. For detailed information on security design involving personal data handling, please contact via the service page.
From Manual List Cleaning to AI-Presented Candidates with Human Judgment
The launch of this resource is not merely adding a new tool, but a demonstration of the 'Marketing AX' philosophy: designing AI-human role division first, then implementing it into operations. AXer is a service that designs, builds, and operates entire business workflows through the provision of people, tools, and expertise.
Going forward, AiTRIGGER will expand this shift—from manual list scrubbing to AI-suggested candidates with human decision-making—beyond DM campaigns. Using the pilot as a model, the company will progressively offer the solution to enterprises facing similar challenges, such as member list consolidation and customer data deduplication. The system is not a fixed package but a flexible framework designed to be reconfigured per client needs, with consultation available from the problem-definition phase.
