Over 40% of Car-Owning Condo Residents in Tokyo Want to Live Without a Car in the Future: AZOOM Survey

AZOOM Co., Ltd., a parking lot subleasing company, conducted a survey on the car life of residents in Tokyo condominiums. The results revealed that over half of the respondents do not own a car. Among car owners, more than 40% expressed a desire to transition to a car-free lifestyle in the future, and over 45% use their cars only 1 to 2 days a week. This trend highlights the growing issue of vacant parking spaces in condominiums, which can lead to reduced income for management associations.
