Background: Challenges of events being "over in a day" and "uneven crowd distribution"
Regional events and commercial facilities often face challenges such as "children getting bored quickly," "people concentrating only on a few booths," and "events ending on the same day without leading to future engagement." Furthermore, it is difficult for organizers to show concrete benefits to sponsoring companies, leading to struggles in securing sponsorships. Card Hunt is a package of plans that solves these issues through the action of "children enthusiastically collecting cards."
What is Card Hunt?
Participating children receive a white mask at the reception and search for original cards hidden throughout the venue. They can exchange the collected cards for prizes, and collecting all types earns them a "golden mask." The sight of children wearing masks walking around the venue visibly creates a lively atmosphere, and this mechanism encourages more children to participate one after another. The planning and design are conducted online, and the cards and other materials can be shipped nationwide, making it adaptable to events and facilities anywhere in the country.
Original Cards That Children Genuinely Desire
The cards are original, created from scratch for each location and facility, rather than using templates. They feature professional illustrations and world-building akin to trading cards, and include battle rules for playing against each other, as well as trivia related to the region and products. In addition to the fun of collecting, the cards are designed to be playable and educational at home, making children genuinely eager to obtain them. Not only cards, but also flyers, posters, certificates, and venue decorations are produced in a unified theme that matches the plan's world-building.
Feature 1: Events Continue "at Home"
Cards, masks, and certificates are taken home by children, where they are displayed, played with, and kept. Even if the event itself is a one-off, if the company name or region is incorporated, it becomes a point of repeated contact within the home. After the event, many participants expressed sentiments like, "Where will the next one be held?" and "I want to participate again next time."
Feature 2: Sponsorship Becomes a Child's Treasure, Not Just "Advertising"
Instead of simply displaying sponsor logos, Card Hunt integrates them into "achievements collected by children" such as cards, stickers for masks, and certificates. These become part of a child's treasure and are naturally accepted by parents, allowing company names to reach households in a positive context. At a festival in Sapporo, approximately 200 sponsor novelty items were distributed in just 2 hours, demonstrating how company names can be favorably communicated through children's experiences. The plan has also succeeded in increasing participation rates for themes that children might not naturally gravitate towards, such as disaster prevention and food education, by creating an engaging entry point through play.
Feature 3: Light Operation, Tangible Results
Cards can be placed around the venue or given as prizes for booth experiences, requiring no dedicated staff. The scale of participation and movement within the venue can be understood by tracking the number of masks distributed, cards handed out at each spot, and prizes exchanged.

Representative's Comment (Shota Ishida, President and CEO, AndR Co., Ltd.)
"Card Hunt began when, while involved in developing local gourmet foods, I thought, 'Wouldn't it be interesting to have children devise recipes?' and 'Wearing masks and walking around would increase immersion and create a lively atmosphere,' and 'Parents would keep certificates at home.' Each element was designed by working backward from the objective. However, when we actually held the event, things happened beyond the designer's imagination. Children crying, 'Where are the cards?!' with intense focus, children running around with cheers, children proudly walking with golden masks. Venue circulation and dwell time visibly increased, and we even received feedback from stores about increased sales. Mechanisms created through calculation generate enthusiasm beyond calculation. We will deliver this experience to events, facilities, and corporate promotions nationwide."
