Intrust Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yutaka Kuwahara; hereinafter "Intrust"), in collaboration with Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Hiroaki Shirota; hereinafter "Tokio Marine & Nichido"), has developed a child support assurance model for local governments. This model has now been adopted by Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture (Mayor: Shinichi Shiiki; hereinafter "Izumi City"), and operations commenced on April 1, 2026. This marks the first implementation in Kagoshima Prefecture.

1. Background of Service Provision Intrust, a comprehensive assurance service company, was the first in Japan to offer child support assurance services, attracting attention from single-parent households, support organizations, and local governments. To promote cooperation with local governments and consider effective support for single-parent households, Intrust entered into a "Contract for Child Support Assurance Support Services" with Izumi City. This contributes to creating a system that ensures more single-parent households can reliably receive child support.

2. About "Child Support Assurance" The "Child Support Assurance" utilized by Izumi City is a product scheme for local governments, where Intrust enters into individual assurance contracts with single-parent households residing in Izumi City. The local government covers the assurance fee for the first year and handles the introduction and application process for eligible individuals. In the event of child support payment delinquency, Intrust directly advances funds to the child support recipient and then carries out demand and collection activities with the child support obligor. Uncollected advanced funds are claimed as insurance from Tokio Marine & Nichido (Tokio Marine & Nichido pays a certain percentage of the loss incurred by Intrust). Even after the one-year assurance period, if the child support recipient wishes to continue using the assurance, they can do so by bearing the renewal assurance fee themselves.

3. Commencement of Provision to Izumi City Commenced on April 1, 2026.

4. Future Outlook The impact of this matter on the performance for the fiscal year ending March 2027 is minor, but we believe it will contribute to building new expertise and enhancing corporate value in the long term. Furthermore, to contribute to the healthy growth of children by supporting more single-parent households, we aim to popularize this system among local governments nationwide. Should any fact requiring disclosure arise in the future, we will promptly release the information.
