Infosign Releases COMPEITO: Open-Source CASE Server Linking with Open Badge Factory

Infosign Co., Ltd. (Taito-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Susumu Murata) has published COMPEITO (Competency Exchange & Interoperability Tool), an open-source competency framework delivery server compliant with the 1EdTech international standard CASE (Competency and Academic Standards Exchange), released under Apache License 2.0 on GitHub. COMPEITO complements Open Badge Factory (OBF), for which Infosign is Japan's exclusive sales partner. OBF announced CASE support in May 2026, enabling badges to be linked to competency frameworks via international standards. COMPEITO serves as the CASE v1.1 server-side counterpart, allowing universities, educational institutions, companies, and municipalities to register and distribute competency frameworks and build proof-of-concept environments for micro-credentials and learning outcome visualization in Japan. Key features include: CASE v1.1 REST API support, easy Docker deployment, multi-tenant architecture, external CASE framework import, bilingual (English/Japanese) support, and Apache License 2.0 open-source licensing.
