Walker and Mutoh Co., Ltd. Collaborate on Summer Parent-Child Workshop: 'Create Your Original Figure with AI and 3D Printing' on August 1, 2026

Walker Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Bunkyo City, Tokyo; CEO: Yuho Ito, hereinafter 'Walker'), which operates the 3D printing classroom '3DLab' in Yushima, Tokyo, will host a special summer parent-child workshop titled 'Create Your Original Figure with AI and 3D Printing' in collaboration with Mutoh Industrial Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Setagaya City, Tokyo; hereinafter 'Mutoh'), a domestic 3D printer manufacturer. The event will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, on the 1st floor of Mutoh's headquarters (directly connected to the west exit of 'Ikejiri-Ohashi Station' on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line).

Background

The rapid spread of generative AI has dramatically lowered the barrier to turning ideas into tangible creations. However, opportunities for children to directly interact with AI and digital fabrication—experiencing the full process from concept to finished product—are still limited.

Walker has continuously hosted workshops at its '3DLab' classroom where participants design characters using generative AI and turn them into 3D-printed figures. This time, with the cooperation of Mutoh, a company that develops and manufactures 3D printers, Walker will offer a special summer-only session set in the rarely accessible 'workshop of Japanese manufacturing.'

### [1] Design with AI → Print with 3D Printer

Participants will use generative AI to design an original character and print it as a custom figurine (white, one piece) with a maximum height of 10 cm using a 3D printer. Completed works will be shipped to participants' homes within approximately two weeks.

### [2] Live 3D Printer Demonstration

The venue is the 1st floor of Mutoh Industrial Co., Ltd.'s headquarters. This exclusive session offers a special program where attendees can observe 3D printers operating in real time—an experience available only at this event.

### [3] Fun for Parents and Children, Perfect for Summer Research Projects

Multiple instructors will provide personalized support tailored to each participant’s skill level and creative goals. By documenting the entire creation process—from idea → AI design → 3D data → printing—with photos and notes, participants can directly use the experience as a summer vacation research project.
