Africa-za's planned performance series 'Ofubibi' will present its second installment, 'Bimajin for the People,' from Thursday, July 16, to Monday, July 20, 2026 (a national holiday), at Theater MOMO in Nakano, Tokyo. All performances will be delivered via high-quality live streaming using switching cameras on ZAIKO.
Ofubibi vol.2 'Bimajin for the People'
This production is the latest in Africa-za's popular 'personified body theater' series. Building on the world of acclaimed works such as 'Blue’s Virus' (2012) and 'Virus Miss' (winner of the Theater Shine Drama Encouragement Award), it presents a brand-new story.
Directed by Yuu Sugiyama (Africa-za / u-you.company) and written by Morono Mucharati (Africa-za / Rantsuki STARTER), this 'super health comedy' is filled with laughter and empathy, brought to life through the unique perspectives and energy of an all-female cast.
Synopsis
Imagine yourself—healthy and revitalized.
An overworked office worker pushed to her limits. At the moment her stress peaks, when she indulges in a slightly dangerous daydream, behind her obsession with idol culture—
Inside her body, the brain, cells, immune system, and nutrients are quietly unfolding a grand drama.
Laugh, feel energized, and reflect a little on health. Enjoy the latest installment of this vibrant and slightly mysterious 'personified body theater,' created entirely by women.
