Why Support Myanmar Students Now?

In recent years, the construction and demolition industries in Japan have been facing a severe labor shortage. Meanwhile, in Myanmar, many young people are unable to obtain sufficient university education or employment opportunities due to political instability.

Especially among university students, there are many cases where individuals possess high abilities and motivation, yet face difficulties in planning their future or even living in their home country.

Eco Planning decided to participate in the MSP as an initiative with the potential to solve these two social issues simultaneously.

What is the MSP (Myanmar Saigon Project)?

Evacuation from Myanmar

Japanese language education at a Vietnamese university

Internship

Employment at a Japanese company

The MSP is an international human resource development project where talented students from Myanmar study Japanese language education at a university in Vietnam, aiming for internships and employment at Japanese companies.

Eligible students are university students who have passed a rigorous selection process and aim for employment at Japanese companies while receiving Japanese language education and career education.

Developing Global Human Resources to Lead the Future of the Demolition Industry

We do not view the acceptance of foreign nationals simply as a means of securing labor.

We aim to develop human resources who can play active roles in the future in positions such as site managers and sales staff, while supporting their improvement in Japanese language proficiency, safety education, and understanding of corporate culture.

Furthermore, by promoting the creation of an organization where individuals with diverse values and cultural backgrounds can thrive, we will contribute not only to our company's growth but also to the sustainable development of the entire industry.

SDGs Initiatives

This initiative is an activity that contributes to the achievement of SDGs Goals 4, 8, 10, 12, 16, and 17 through the creation of educational opportunities, promotion of employment, advancement of diversity, and human resource development.

Coexistence with the Local Community

We will also work to create opportunities for students to participate in local events and understand Japanese culture so that they can thrive as members of the local community.

Furthermore, we will promote cross-cultural understanding education and communication support for our employees, fostering an environment where diverse individuals can work with peace of mind for a long time.

Comment from Representative Director, Kōken Yoshida

In Japan, labor shortages are increasing due to the declining birthrate and aging population, while globally, there are young people with abilities who do not have sufficient opportunities to learn or work.

We position this initiative not merely as a recruitment activity, but as "a social contribution activity that nurtures people and creates the future."

We will continue to challenge ourselves to solve social issues through our business activities and promote the creation of a company where diverse human resources can thrive.
