Second Phase Launch: 'A Society Where Parents and Children Never Have to Give Up on Cultural Experiences' – M-Buddy Japan to Plan and Operate Cultural Experience-Based Childcare Services for Tokyo's 'TOKYO Culture Debut'

M-Buddy Japan, Inc. (CEO: Mo Kameyama) will launch a 'cultural experience-based childcare service' for children aged 1 month to 12 years during stage performances hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.

This service is part of the 'TOKYO Culture Debut' collaborative initiative promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture. It aims to create an environment where parents can enjoy performing arts with peace of mind, while children in care enjoy rich cultural experiences such as projector-based spatial design, rhythmics, and art workshops that reflect the performance's thematic world.

The target performances are the musical play 'Mr. Shimgudari – The Princess of Iron Shoes and the Prince of Flour,' to be held on August 7 and 8, 2026, at Sakura Hall (4F), Ohyama Cultural Complex in Shibuya Ward; and 'Team Up! Opera: Amahl and the Night Visitors,' to be held on September 20 at Komae Ecohma Hall and on October 4 at Tama-Shin RISURU Hall.

For performances where young children are not typically admitted, or when parents wish to focus fully on the show, this service ensures children do not simply 'wait' but instead enjoy time actively expressing and creating.

M-Buddy Japan’s cultural childcare avoids reliance on character toys or one-way play, instead emphasizing sensory and autonomous development through interactions with materials, sound, light, and bodily expression. During performances, daily rotating programs include spatial installations using projectors to recreate the performance’s world, musical-style rhythmics, and art workshops.
