New Ageo Cemetery Opens June 6: Pet-Friendly, No Maintenance Fees or Successors Needed

A-Tie Co., Ltd. announces the opening of a new perpetual care cemetery and tree burial site at Shorinji Temple in Ageo City, Saitama Prefecture, on June 6, 2026. Shorinji is a Jodo sect temple located about a 13-minute drive from Ageo Station, holding a city-designated cultural property.

Addressing modern needs due to declining birthrates and nuclear families, the temple will manage the graves perpetually. The new cemetery requires no annual maintenance fees (included in the initial payment) or successors.

Key features include: 1. On-site staff: Dedicated staff members reside on the premises for daily cleaning and provide one-stop support from viewings to interment. 2. Pet-friendly individual plots: Unlike collective burials, families can use private plots without their remains being mixed with others. Beloved pets can also be laid to rest in the same plot. 3. Ideal for relocation: With no need for a successor, it is suitable for relocating ancestral graves. Depending on the type, up to 6 to 8 people can fit in one plot by replacing urns.

Various plans are available based on the number of people, budget, and design preferences.
