IPA publishes "Top 10 Information Security Threats" with the expectation that it will help disseminate security measures. "Top 10 Information Security Threats 2026" was determined based on information security incidents and attack situations that had a significant social impact in 2025, with IPA selecting candidate threats, and then finalized through deliberation and voting by the "Top 10 Threats Selection Committee," consisting of approximately 250 members including researchers in the information security field and corporate practitioners.
