Kaunet, an e-commerce service provider under the Kokuyo Group, will host a web seminar titled '[2026 Edition] New Normal in Indirect Material Procurement: Methods to Balance Risk Diversification and Management Efficiency' on June 24, 2026.

Recently, risks threatening business continuity, such as geopolitical volatility, price and supply fluctuations, and sophisticated cyberattacks, have diversified. Consequently, the importance of BCP measures in the indirect material (consumables) area has rapidly increased.

According to a Kaunet survey, about 60% of respondents stated that the importance of BCP for indirect materials has increased compared to two years ago, but only about 24% have actually implemented measures. Challenges cited include increased costs, lack of internal risk definition, and management complexity.

This seminar will introduce 'platform-based procurement,' which centralizes purchases from multiple suppliers, and showcase a corporate case study that reduced the total time from ordering to accounting by approximately 65%. Participation is free upon advance registration.
