Butter Mochi originated in Shanghai, China, and is known as 'Shanghai Butter Mochi.' It began appearing in cafes in Seoul, South Korea, around the end of 2025, and rapidly spread through social media and other channels in 2026, becoming a trending sweet in Korea.

Our Special 'Butter Mochi'

We are committed to using domestic ingredients, utilizing Hokkaido butter and finely milled, top-quality 'Hiyoku Mochiko' rice flour from Saga Prefecture.

It is slowly baked in an oven.

Notably, 'Saga Prefecture Hiyoku Mochiko' is made using traditional stone grinding methods and is of the highest quality, making it very expensive!

It costs over 7 times more than the domestic wheat we source!

In pursuit of the best flavor, chewy texture, and crispy finish, we experimented with various types of rice flour, and ultimately arrived at Saga Prefecture's Hiyoku Mochiko.
