FUTUREFLIGHT Group (HQ: Sapporo; Representative Director: Gousha Kamazawa) will conduct a free distribution of food, including emergency rice and rescue meals, as part of its food bank center's support initiatives at the end of May, before the Ezo rainy season.
As a new initiative, in response to the recent rise in prices of plastic products due to surging crude oil and naphtha prices, the group will also distribute garbage bags free of charge to help reduce household burdens. Through this event, which supports local residents from both food and daily life perspectives, we hope to deepen understanding of our regional contribution efforts and encourage reflection on the importance of food loss reduction and regional support projects.
[About the Garbage Bag Distribution] The price of naphtha, a petroleum-derived main raw material for garbage bags, has been rising, and upward price pressure continues on all plastic products. We decided to distribute these concurrently with food aid to help alleviate even slightly the household burden of garbage bags, which are essential every month. We plan to distribute a set amount per person (please check the quantity at the venue on the day).
