CrossCat, Inc. hosted the '5th Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) User Group Meeting' in July 2026 at the Oracle Aoyama Center, operated by Oracle Corporation Japan.
This event was organized in response to growing corporate interest in AI adoption and the increasing importance of data utilization as its foundation. Targeted at existing OCI users and companies considering adoption, the meeting aimed to share the latest technological trends and facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge exchange. The day provided a valuable opportunity to share practical know-how and improvement strategies for advancing AI and data utilization.
CrossCat supports business transformation by providing practical expertise in AI and data utilization. As demand grows for AI agents and data infrastructure, CrossCat will continue hosting the OCI User Group to offer a platform for demonstrating and sharing cutting-edge technologies, accelerating corporate digital transformation (DX).
The fifth edition welcomed 16 participants from 10 companies, primarily OCI users. The keynote session featured Mr. Kazuyuki Sato, General Manager of the AI Transformation Division at Oracle Corporation Japan, who presented on 'Use Cases for Utilizing Business Data with AI.' He introduced the overall platform architecture required in the AI agent era and shared practical examples such as store and product analysis, supply chain analytics, and shift scheduling, deepening participants' understanding of how AI can enhance operations and decision-making. Following this, a hands-on session titled 'Current State of Oracle’s Latest AI Agent Development Services' was led by Shota Kobayashi and Tamaki Yamaguchi from CrossCat’s DX Sales Division. Participants experienced building AI agents without coding using Oracle AI Database Private Agent Factory (PAF) and explored possibilities for leveraging business data. Finally, Ryuji Takara from the same division delivered a presentation titled 'Why Data Preparation Doesn’t Progress,' addressing common challenges in data preparation and data management faced by many enterprises. He introduced approaches to advancing data utilization from perspectives such as clarifying objectives, visualizing operations and data, and identifying root causes.
Post-event surveys showed that approximately 90% of participants found the presentations 'helpful.' In particular, about 85% rated the AI agent hands-on session as 'useful,' reflecting strong interest in AI and data utilization. The event also highlighted high interest in OCI operational support and data warehouse (DWH) platforms, reinforcing the growing importance of data utilization in enterprises.
A networking reception held after the event enabled deeper interaction among participating companies, Oracle Corporation Japan, and CrossCat employees, fostering information exchange on OCI, AI, and data utilization. Participants exchanged insights and challenges across industries and organizations, creating a meaningful environment that could lead to future operational improvements and DX initiatives.
CrossCat will continue to promote knowledge sharing and networking through community initiatives like the OCI User Group. By leveraging its proprietary DX support framework 'CC-Dash,' CrossCat will assist in solving challenges in AI and data utilization, contributing to corporate DX advancement.
