Shinjuku East Exit Cat Manga Project Launch

Cross Shinjuku Vision (operated by Cross Space Co., Ltd.), home to the 3D giant cat that stunned the world, will celebrate its 5th anniversary in July 2026. With the completion of 'Cross Shinjuku Vision 2' expected next summer, turning the site into a twin vision setup, the brand continues to evolve. Since its debut in 2021, the 'Shinjuku East Exit Cat' has watched over Shinjuku. To commemorate our 5th anniversary, we launched this project to allow fans to enjoy the cat's charm from a different angle than video.

Rather than tying the work to rigid 'official settings,' we have asked the participating artists to leverage their own sensibilities. This project was realized with the cooperation of NPO LEGIKA, which operates the manga artist training program 'Tokiwaso Project.' Leveraging their creator network, they have selected four manga artists, including graduates of the Tokiwaso Project, to unfold diverse stories of the cat.
