Green Growth Begins Implementation of FIP Conversion and Battery Storage at Rising Next Power Plant

Green Growth Co., Ltd. has begun implementing FIP conversion and battery storage installation at a solar power plant in Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture, owned by Rising Next Co., Ltd. In this project, the existing solar power plant will transition from the FIT system to the FIP system, and by adding battery storage, it aims to address output curtailment risks and improve the value of the power plant through sales to the wholesale electricity market and supply-demand adjustment market. After supporting business feasibility evaluation and framework design, Green Growth is now managing the implementation phase and will provide end-to-end support, including operation and aggregation after the start of operations. This project is also the first step for Rising Next, a company rooted in the Omuta/Miike metropolitan area, to effectively utilize local renewable energy sources and promote 'local production for local consumption of energy.' Operations are scheduled to begin in the spring of 2027.
