A survey by Grace Group involving 373 women shows that Tokyo's subsidy program has successfully lowered the average egg freezing age to 35.6, approximately one year earlier than in non-subsidized regions. While 75% of those who haven't undergone the procedure cite high costs as the primary barrier, 94.1% of implementers reported satisfaction, viewing it as a psychological safeguard. The report also highlights a new '35-year-old barrier' as the national subsidy program starting in April 2026 is expected to target women aged 35 and under.
