CommunitiO announced that NewCommunicator has been adopted by Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (Tokio Marine & Nichido) as its internal information distribution platform.
Tokio Marine & Nichido successfully migrated from its legacy Teams extension and internally developed broadcast system, building a structure capable of instantly and stably distributing information to approximately 40,000 employees, including group companies.
Background of Implementation
Previously, Tokio Marine & Nichido used two systems to communicate organizational information:
1. Internally developed broadcast function: A popup app on PCs for high-urgency notifications like system maintenance. 2. Microsoft Teams extension: Used for management messages and high-priority news, or as a backup when the broadcast system was unavailable.
With both systems reaching end-of-support, a review of the fragmented distribution tools became necessary. After evaluating multiple products, NewCommunicator was selected for its ability to unify emergency and non-emergency distribution, high affinity with Microsoft Teams, and detailed management capabilities.
Representative Comments
'Initially, we were just looking for a replacement, but NewCommunicator proved to be a solution that could advance our information governance. The ability to manage target audiences and permissions, along with visualizing distribution results, has significantly improved our communication quality. Throughout the process, we conducted multiple security audits and highly valued CommunitiO’s sincerity and commitment to strengthening safety from both design and operational perspectives. We now stably distribute about 15 messages per month to 40,000 employees with high open rates.' (Risa Ogishima, IT Planning Dept., Tokio Marine & Nichido)
New Variable Insertion Feature
NewCommunicator, which enables bulk and targeted distribution via Teams, has implemented a new 'variable insertion feature.' This allows names and other attribute-specific information to be inserted into messages, making bulk communications feel personal. This is a step toward truly personalized internal communication.
