TV Kanagawa (TVK) launched its new music program 'Katamari' in April 2026, hosted by AmaiWana, an artist with touring experience in the US, Taiwan, and India.

Her latest track, 'Incomplete Room' (Mikansei no Heya), written as the program's opening theme, is set for digital release on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

The song's concept is a 'fictional toy factory operating in a dream.' Rolling out from this factory are various lovable 'clumps' (katamari) with different shapes. They fall in love at their own rhythm, without caring about what others think. The song encapsulates the stories of these awkward 'clumps' stumbling and stepping to an exciting beat.

Linking to the program's concept of 'factory-produced rejects = Katamari,' the song pops with the beauty and individuality of incomplete beings. Sound engineer Ginger Root participated in the production. Based on 80's new wave and 90's Shibuya-kei sounds, it fuses modern synth-pop sensibilities. The sound design imagines a factory running at night, while the lyrics convey the message, 'It's cool to be different and incomplete.'

Ahead of the June 10 release, pre-delivery on TikTok and Pre-add/Pre-save services began on Sunday, May 31.
