Nara Hotel (1096 Takahata-cho, Nara City; General Manager: Ryuta Harada) is pleased to announce that after a full closure starting January 4, 2026, for large-scale renovations, we have resumed operations in the main building only, effective June 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The new wing (to be renamed 'West Wing' upon its reopening on September 2, 2026) has been part of our two-building structure since its birth in 1984. Operating solely in the main building, which was founded in 1909, is a first in 42 years. The main building, which retains the atmosphere of the Meiji era, is the origin of the Nara Hotel, long loved as the 'Guest House of Kansai.' For the approximately three months until the West Wing reopens on September 2, 2026, guests can enjoy a special stay in the main building alone. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the classic space and feel as if you have traveled back in time to the Meiji era. To commemorate the reopening, we have prepared special plans. You can enjoy popular high tea in a bar that exudes the modern charm of the Meiji era, along with cocktails and cuisine in a dignified space. Furthermore, we offer a lunch course at the main dining room 'Mikasa' that includes a classic curry can as a souvenir, providing a special experience for both overnight guests and day visitors. We invite you to visit the Nara Hotel this summer, as we welcome guests to the main building for the first time in over four decades. Commemorative High Tea: 18:00-20:00 at 'The Bar,' priced from 8,500 JPY. Commemorative Lunch: 11:30-15:00 at 'Mikasa,' priced at 8,000 JPY, including a classic curry can. Reduced operation period: June 4, 2026, to September 1, 2026. Please note that hotel parking is unavailable during this period.
