Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. will launch initiatives to broadly promote the appeal of overseas dramas, coinciding with "Overseas Drama Day" on April 28, 2026. This year marks the 70th anniversary since overseas dramas were first broadcast in Japan, and taking this as an opportunity, the company will implement measures to enable more people to enjoy overseas dramas and further increase the number of overseas drama fans, adapting to the ever-changing viewing environment.

This initiative will kick off with the Amazon Prime Video Channel, which launched on April 22, 2026, followed by a cross-media rollout across X, TikTok, and YouTube. Users will be provided with a consistent experience from discovery to viewing, allowing them to find works they are interested in and smoothly access streaming services where they can watch them.
