The 'EagleEye Vision (provisional)' development team, specializing in next-generation sports devices, has announced the concept of the world's first golf-dedicated AR smart glasses that integrate GPS-based course navigation with physical laser distance measurement.

Development Background: Freeing Golfers from 'Device Operation'

Currently, golf distance measurement primarily relies on two types: GPS-based (e.g., watches) and laser-based (handheld). However, GPS devices have limitations in accurately measuring pin positions, while laser rangefinders disrupt the playing routine due to the need to 'take them out of the pocket and look through the viewfinder.' This product integrates both technologies into smart glasses, enabling golfers to access perfect information simply by 'looking at the target,' creating a seamless experience.

Three Key Features of the Product

Hybrid Distance Measurement: Simultaneously performs GPS-based course overview display and pinpoint distance measurement (±0.3 yards accuracy) using an ultra-compact laser module mounted on the side of the glasses.

Seamless HUD (Head-Up Display): Equipped with a transparent display in the field of view. Simply by looking up, full-color AR graphics overlay critical information such as distance to the pin, hazard locations, wind direction, and elevation differences.

Dramatic Improvement in Play Speed: Eliminates the need to stop or switch devices for measurement. Measurement results are displayed in 0.1 seconds, preventing slow play and maximizing concentration on each shot.

Future Outlook: The team is currently advancing prototype development and miniaturization of the optical unit, aiming for commercialization through partnerships with major golf and technology companies both domestically and internationally.
