The event will take place over four days, from Thursday, October 29, to Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the 'TAKAMIYA AGRIBUSINESS PARK (TAP)' in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture. The company is now accepting applications from corporate sponsors, exhibitors, and municipal partners interested in entering the agricultural field, validating technologies, creating new businesses, or solving regional challenges.

Background: Structural Challenges in Agriculture and the Need for Cross-Industry Collaboration

Japanese agriculture is at a turning point, facing simultaneous issues such as declining and aging labor, food security, decarbonization, and climate change risks. According to Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries statistics, the number of core farmers fell from 1.757 million in 2015 to 1.036 million in 2025, with an average age of 67.7. Additionally, Japan's calorie-based food self-sufficiency rate remains at 38% for the 2024 fiscal year, making the maintenance and strengthening of domestic production foundations critical.

These problems cannot be solved within agriculture alone; they are complex, structural issues requiring collaboration across fields such as IoT, robotics, AI, energy, logistics, finance, and education.
