De Agostini Japan Co., Ltd. will launch the biweekly craft series 'Enjoy Crocheting with Color & Motif' on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The series will be available nationwide (excluding some areas) at bookstores and via the company's official website.

This series allows crafters to create exotic multi-covers and everyday accessories using crochet techniques. Featuring original patterns by a Turkish knitwear artist, the projects include stylishly colored multi-covers and knitted accessories in shades of Turkish blue. Each issue comes with essential tools such as cotton yarn and a crochet hook, along with easy-to-follow step-by-step guides. Detailed video tutorials ensure that even first-time crafters can enjoy learning and mastering crochet skills.

Modern and Oriental Design: Multi & Cushion Covers

● Multi-Cover in Vibrant Color Combinations

The main crochet project in this series is a large multi-cover designed by Selcuk Alican, a knitwear artist based in Turkey. Inspired by Turkish tile patterns, the design features unique single motifs crafted with nine specially dyed cotton yarn colors created exclusively for this series. By combining different color schemes, crafters will knit 24 expressive motifs to complete a large multi-cover suitable for beds or sofas.

● Cushion Cover in Harmonious Tones

A stylish cushion cover in soft lavender tones will also be created in parallel. By connecting the same motifs used in the multi-cover, crafters can enjoy a coordinated design set.

Colorful Knitted Accessories in Turkish Blue

Alongside the multi-cover, crafters can enjoy making accessories using nine shades of Turkish blue yarn. Starting from the 10th issue, once users become more familiar with crochet, they will use the series' dedicated size 3 crochet hook. By knitting 16 different motifs, crafters will practice various techniques and improve their skills. Connecting the finished motifs creates four practical everyday items.

A large wall hanging measuring 47cm (W) x 70cm (H), made by connecting 12 motifs. The motifs can be separated into rows for a garland-style decoration.

The magazine uses large, clear photos to explain each step in detail. Basic techniques such as how to hold the crochet hook and fundamental stitches are supported with video tutorials, enabling even beginners to enjoy the process from the start.
