We are pleased to announce that 'It's Summer! It's the Ocean! Mochinyan Summer Festival,' a large-scale event featuring the popular Taiwanese character 'Mochinyan,' will be held at Seibu Shibuya from Wednesday, July 1st, to Monday, August 3rd, 2026.

The event will center around a large pop-up store on the 2nd floor of Seibu Shibuya's Building A, with coordinated activities also taking place in the basement level food section and the '365cafe' on the 4th floor. This represents the largest deployment of Mochinyan in Japan, allowing visitors to enjoy the character's worldview throughout the facility.

The theme for this event is 'A Summer Trip to Popular Tourist Destinations While in Shibuya.' We have gathered the charm of popular tourist areas such as Taiwan, Okinawa, Shonan, and Mt. Fuji to create a special space where visitors can enjoy a cool travel vibe in the heat of a Shibuya summer.

At the venue, we plan to sell sweets and food from each region, carefully selected from the perspective of Mochinyan, which was born in Taiwan—the home of gourmet food—in event-exclusive collaboration packaging. Furthermore, tasting events in the basement food section and original collaboration menus at 365cafe are planned, allowing visitors to experience the appeal of each region through food.

The lineup will include numerous items, such as Taiwanese sweets appearing in Japan for the first time and trending Okinawa gourmet foods making their Tokyo retail debut. Famous local favorites and hidden gems will gather in Shibuya.

In addition to standard goods like plushies and accessories, we will feature regional collaboration goods, exhibitions and sales of artist collaboration works, and participant-driven interactive events.

The event runs from July 1st (Wed) to August 3rd (Mon), 2026, at Seibu Shibuya Building A (2nd Floor Event Space, Basement Food Section, and 4th Floor 365cafe).
