Okazaki Rakunoyu (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture), operated by Nakashiro's Raku no Yu Group, is partnering with Otsuka Pharmaceutical to conduct public awareness activities for heatstroke prevention, themed around 'heat acclimatization.'

Starting from May 5, 'Heatstroke Prevention Day,' awareness posters have been displayed at the facility to encourage local residents to take preventative measures. A seminar on heatstroke prevention is also scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

With the recent increase in extremely hot days, the risk of heatstroke is considered particularly high before the peak of summer when the body is not yet accustomed to heat. 'Heat acclimatization'—the process of training the body to endure heat and develop a habit of sweating—is gaining attention. Public baths and saunas are noted as accessible ways to sweat naturally in daily life.

Awareness Poster Display Start Date: From Tuesday, May 5, 2026 Location: Entrance In cooperation with Otsuka Pharmaceutical, the posters share fundamental actions such as 'replenishing water and salt,' 'avoiding heat,' and 'keeping interiors cool.'

Heatstroke Prevention Seminar Overview Date/Time: Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 15:00- Location: Okazaki Rakunoyu, Dining Area 'Rakuzen' Lecturer: Yuki Kishimoto, Heatstroke Prevention Ambassador & Registered Dietitian (Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.)

Summer-Exclusive 'Lukewarm Bath' From Wednesday, July 1, 2026, a 'lukewarm bath' set at 36-37°C will be available in the open-air bath area.

'Sustainaburo' Project This initiative is part of the 'Sustainaburo' project, which seeks to create 'sustainable public baths' by positioning sento as community hubs that address regional issues and promote local culture.
