Hotel New Otani Tokyo has announced the 'Akari Fune Plan,' a premium accommodation package available exclusively on July 22, 2026, to coincide with the Chidorigafuchi Lantern Floating. The plan features guaranteed boarding tickets for the lantern-floating boats, an experience normally subject to a competitive lottery with a 13x ratio. Guests can write messages on their 'My Lanterns' and float them onto the water. The package also includes shuttle bus service between the hotel and the venue to ensure a comfortable trip, especially for those wearing yukata. For a more luxurious experience, a special one-room-only package offers accommodation in 'Executive House Zen' or a suite, complete with a professional photographer to capture the experience. Guests can also choose the 'Shin-Edo Room,' which features a cypress bath with floating lemons and complimentary sake. Reservations open on June 12, 2026, at 14:00 on a first-come, first-served basis, with prices starting from 84,000 yen for two guests in a standard room.
