Hotel New Otani Makuhari is offering two special dining courses at its all-day dining restaurant SATSUKI to commemorate Chiba Prefecture Day. Available through July 31, 2026, the standard 'Chiba's Blessings' course and the premium 'Takumi' course blend the hotel's traditional Western cooking techniques with premium local ingredients. Featured local foods include Edomae Chiba Nori seaweed, Kujukuri clams, and Chiba oysters. The standard course features local oysters in ajillo, Ruso Boso herb chicken ragout spaghettini, and a choice of Chiba sea bass and clam naje or Chiba sweet-potato pork shoulder cacciatore. The premium 'Takumi' course adds both the sea bass/clam dish and a choice of the pork cacciatore or a special roasted lamb paired with Edomae Chiba Nori (requires 3-day advance reservation). Both courses conclude with local milk gelato, strawberry compote, and a post-meal beverage. The menu is designed by Head Chef Kazushi Takayama, who was appointed in April 2026. Note that Saturdays and select dates in June and July are excluded.
