Northstar, Inc., operator of the pet online consultation app 'Pet Doctor,' has signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with 'Animal General Hospital Specialty Medical & Emergency Center,' operated by Veterinarians Synergy Co., Ltd. Pet Doctor allows users to consult with veterinarians via smartphone from anywhere in Japan. It provides support during nights and holidays when regular clinics are closed. While Pet Doctor veterinarians conduct consultations via video call, some cases require physical examinations, tests, or procedures. Finding an emergency animal hospital at night can be difficult. Therefore, Pet Doctor has partnered with the Animal General Hospital in Kawaguchi, Saitama, which provides secondary and advanced medical care for dogs and cats. If a pet seen on Pet Doctor requires in-person care and the owner lives near Kawaguchi, Pet Doctor will share medical information with the hospital in advance to ensure a smooth transition. The company plans to expand these partnerships to other regions.
