Due to rising prices and extreme heat, household freezer capacity shortages are becoming a serious issue. 'I want to buy in bulk on cheap days but there's no room,' 'I want to stock up on frozen foods but there's no space,' 'The freezer is filled with ice packs and ice for summer heat protection.' This 'freezer capacity overload' is happening in many households. A survey conducted by Herstory Co., Ltd., a women's insight research institute, targeting 507 men and women nationwide, found that about 80% of households with three or more people feel their freezer space is insufficient. Furthermore, the new benchmark for freezer capacity in such households is 'approx. 140L,' revealing that conventional refrigerators are lacking in capacity. The lifestyle is shifting from daily grocery shopping to bulk buying and relying on freezing. The survey revealed that while the current average freezer capacity is about 115L, the ideal is about 143L. Many households are short by about one shopping basket (approx. 30L) of freezer space, and this physical gap is a source of daily stress.
