Pacific Net Begins Providing Data Erasure Licenses for Rental PC Returns

Pacific Net Corp. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yuta Ueda) announced that it will launch a license sales service (the Service) for the data erasure software "Blancco Drive Eraser," provided by Blancco Japan Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Moto Matsumatsu), starting June 1, 2026.

The Service is designed to allow customers using Pacific Net's rental PCs to perform data erasure themselves upon returning the equipment. It provides licenses for the data erasure software at a special price for Pacific Net's rental assets.

1. Background In recent years, due to heightened awareness of information security in companies, there has been an increasing need for data erasure when returning PCs. Customers returning rental PCs have voiced concerns such as, "We do not have our own data erasure tools," and "We want to keep reliable records of erasure." To meet these needs, Pacific Net has decided to offer the "Blancco Drive Eraser" software provided by Blancco at a special price for customers using our rental PCs.

2. Service Overview Launch Date: June 1, 2026 Target: Customers using Pacific Net rental PCs (Target equipment: Pacific Net rental assets) Offering: "Blancco Drive Eraser" License Price: 1,200 yen per license (excluding tax)

3. Future Outlook Pacific Net will deploy this service as a value-added component of its rental service to promote improved customer convenience and reduce information leakage risks.
