FOREST DOOR -Old Kamigaku Elementary School- (Location: Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture) has started operating a basic private sauna utilizing the pool area within the facility, in addition to the current plan for renting out an entire villa for accommodation and premium day-use sauna.
The sauna in this area is a private sauna with a unique style nationwide, featuring a barrel sauna with a wood stove installed in a pool without water. By reusing the school pool, which was once familiar to children, as a new space for interaction and healing, we provide a special time where you can refresh both physically and mentally in a natural-rich landscape.
Furthermore, FOREST DOOR -Old Kamigaku Elementary School- has been promoting the charm of the region through accommodation, restaurants, and bread sales as a complex facility utilizing the abandoned Kamigaku Elementary School.
With the expansion of the private sauna area this time, we aim to provide a new outdoor sauna experience and attract new customers to the region while improving the value of their stay.

Future Prospects
According to the latest survey by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, approximately 450 schools are abandoned nationwide each year, and about 2,000 of the total 8,850 schools remain unused. Among them, the Aogaki region, a designated depopulated area with a population of about 5,000, had over 87,000 visitors last year.
And, positioning FOREST DOOR as the 'Forest Entry Campus' = the entrance for city people to touch trees and forests, we are working on creating new experience value by utilizing abandoned schools as regional resources.
Through this private sauna, we will provide more people with the opportunity to experience the rich nature and charm of Tamba, contributing to the revitalization of regional tourism and the expansion of exchange populations.
