Forum Eight Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) announced that its joint initiative with Matsue Doken Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Matsue, Shimane), titled 'Next-Generation Smart Snow Removal Support System Realized by 3D Digital Twin,' has been selected as a finalist for the 'Japan DX Award 2026' in the Sustainability category. It is one of the 24 companies selected from a total of 186 applicants.

The system utilizes the 3DVR platform 'UC-win/Road' combined with RTK-GNSS high-precision satellite positioning and digital twin technology. By displaying real-time road information such as manholes, bridge joints, and curbs on an in-vehicle monitor—information that becomes difficult to see during snowfall—the system provides precise work assistance.

This technology digitizes and systematizes snow removal tasks that previously relied on the experience and intuition of skilled workers, achieving improved safety and efficiency. It is also highly regarded as a model case for regional infrastructure DX contributing to disaster prevention and mitigation.

An online public presentation by the 24 finalists will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM. Viewing is free, with pre-registration available on the official website. Forum Eight plans to continue building a digital twin foundation that fuses terrestrial infrastructure with space technology through its 'spaceF8' solutions, contributing to a sustainable and resilient social infrastructure.
